| S.B. Cox Opens C&D Recycling Facility - Thursday, September 18, 2008In recent years, S.B. Cox, Inc had seen a gradual but important increase in interest in recycling from their roll off and demolition customers. Since 1963, the company has serviced the Richmond area as a commercial, industrial, and residential demolition contractor, owning two C&D landfills in the region. Knowing the life of one of its landfills would not last longer than 2007 the company decided to build a C&D Material Recovery Facility. The company’s desire to meet this new need in the market became a reality when the property next to their existing shop and concrete crushing plant went up for sale in early 2007. The company purchased the property which included a 45,000 sq. ft. warehouse on the property.

| 2008 Awards for Excellence - Friday, May 02, 2008
Each year the VRA recognizes the best waste reduction and recycling programs in the state at an annual awards ceremony. Nominations are sought from the public and private sectors, business, industry, schools, government and non-profit agencies, civic or volunteer organizations and individuals.
